Vintage Style wedding dresses are for brides who admire and take inspiration from golden era’s in fashion, but prefer a modern interpretation. Often I find that inspiration is taken from fashion and evening wear of past decades, rather that wedding dresses in particular. Some fashion era’s have a defining spirit, while some have very blended aesthetics. Often, elements from opposite era’s combine beautifully, like the 40’s and 70’s. My approach to a vintage style wedding dress design is the same as any other, to choose elements you love best and incorporate them into a design that you love - to me, when it comes to vintage style wedding dresses, overall design and style is more important than authenticity.
